The Graduate Program in the Department of Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences

Use your passion to help others with communication and hearing disorders by improving their quality of life with your skills. With 3 graduate degrees to offer, our department allows students to choose the path that will best prepare them for the industry of their choice. 100% of our students have passed the Praxis exam in the past three years and 97% are employed within one year of graduation. Upon leaving the University, our graduates enter the clinical, teaching, and research fields.

Au.D. Program


The University of Texas at Austin offers an interdisciplinary Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) that consists of a minimum of 100 semester credit hours beyond the bachelor's level. The degree program focuses on academic and clinical education for those entering the profession of audiology.
