Primary Progressive Aphasia Support Group

The AAC Lab will provide an information session on Augmentative and Alternative Communication for individuals with Aphasia and their families in conjunction with the Aphasia Research Treatment Lab

Explore UT- Assistive Speech Technologies

Want to experience using synthetic speech to communicate? You’ll try out AAC systems like speech-generating mobile apps, eye-gaze controlled devices, and interfaces used with ventilated patients unable to speak. Research Participation

Speech, Language, and Hearing Services at UT Austin

Specialized AAC, speech, language, and hearing services for the greater Austin community are available at the UT Austin Speech and Hearing Center (SHC). At the SHC, graduate clinicians provide services for communication disorders related to aphasia, developmental language disorders, hearing impairment, head injury, laryngectomy, cerebral palsy, learning disability, autism, cleft palate, stuttering, and other communicative anomalies. We also conduct speech and language assessments, hearing screenings, and full audiological evaluations. The SHC is located on the 2nd floor of the Jesse H. Jones building at Moody College, UT Austin.
